Hatch the Movie


This is the first animation I've done which I only started and finished earlier this year. Based on Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon, and my pet dog, this is a character study film on a dragon called Hatch. Hand drawn animation that has over 450 drawings done in fine liner ink wash. There's lots I can improve on, but I'll just make the next one better. This was done as my final major project on my foundation course at UCA Canterbury. I had a deadline so this was completed in 11 weeks and I ran out of time so I haven't fitted it with any sound.

    Hi Cat, well done on making a start with the alley scene. I notice you haven't blogged the previous two tutorials, can you get them up soonish so I can tick them off. Any problems then just shout.
