My Own Summer Project- Dylan

Over summer I don't want to loose touch with Maya, and there are a few things I want to learn to do. So whilst I'm finishing tutorials and learning about rigging and skinning, I want to put it into practice outside of the tutorials and work on something I made from scratch. So this is Dylan, a character I want to model, texture, rig, skin and animate in Maya. I know this is ambitious, but I feel it will help me become more fluent when using Maya. Dylan is a baby tapir, which is a mammal found in jungles and rainforests. When they are babies, they're covered in spots and markings, which is something I'd really like to UV texture. And though I'm not attempting a complete animated short film, I'd like to create a story to go with this character.
